TB Skin Test

A tuberculosis test, also know as a TB screening test, involves injecting a small amount of fluid just under the skin on the lower arm. You must return 2-3 days after the fluid is injected so the doctor can look at the arm to determine if there is a reaction. A reaction such as redness, swelling, or pain could indicate the presence of a bacterial infection in the lungs called tuberculosis.
